Registration Details:Participants are encouraged to pick up their race packets on Saturday, July 1st, from 11 PM until 2 PM at Running Etc. (Virginia Beach) to avoid waiting in line and delays on race morning.

Event Details: The race will start and finish at the YMCA near Mt. Trashmore in Virginia Beach at 7:30 AM on Tuesday, July 4th.

Event History: This is one of the oldest running events in Hampton Roads. The course is flat and fast. Show us your Red, White, and Blue and start your holiday off with this 5K run or walk! Join us for the 39th Annual Independence Day 5K Run/Walk on July 4th! This race supports the Y’s Annual Giving Campaign which provides financial assistance for summer camp, child care, swim lessons, health & wellness programs, youth activities and older adult activities, keeping our doors open to all.
